Our training programs

Accidental Counsellor

Accidental Counsellor is designed to provide participants with the skills and knowledge to safely and effectively support customers, clients, colleagues, friends, or family, who are in distress or experiencing a crisis through the ‘Recognise, Respond, Refer’ model. Participants will not be trained to be a counsellor, but rather be provided with the foundational skills to support people in a range of situations.

Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)

Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training - ASIST, is an internationally recognised interactive workshop that prepares participants to provide suicide life-assisting, first aid intervention. It is founded on the principle that everyone can make a difference in preventing suicide.

ASIST provides knowledge and skills to recognise when someone may be at risk of suicide and respond in ways that help increase their immediate safety and refer them to appropriate help through an evidence based framework.

DV-aware

Our nationally accredited DV-aware workshops provide a safe space for you to learn how to recognise and respond confidently to those in crisis.

We offer a 2-hour workshop that provides an introduction to understanding domestic and family violence, as well as a 1-day interactive workshop where participants learn how to recognise and respond to those in crisis.

Mental Health Wellbeing

The Mental Health Wellbeing workshop helps participants to learn about the concepts of mental wellbeing and how to stay mentally healthy.

Participants explore the importance of managing stress through selfcare strategies to build resilience.

This workshop explores the impact of burnout and life challenges and provides strategies that individuals can utilise to support their own mental wellbeing.

These practical skills equip participants with the tools to work towards taking responsibility for their own wellbeing.

Suicide Protect

Suicide Protect provides an understanding of suicide and how to overcome barriers to connecting with someone who may be struggling in order to link them to appropriate support. Participants will build skills in recognising people in distress and build confidence in their ability to reach out to assist someone to safety.

Mental Health First Aid - Standard

The standard Mental Health First Aid - Standard (MHFA) training is a two-day (12 hour) face-to-face workshop which helps mobilise and empower adults in the workplace and community by equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to recognise, understand and respond to another adult experiencing a mental health problem or mental health crisis.
