Get to know our Limelight Sponsor - Asset Personnel
This year, we were thrilled to welcome a new partner to our event – Asset Personnel – joining us at the Limelight level as our Major Sponsor.
Founded in 2016, Asset Personnel is a people-focused recruitment agency dedicated to connecting businesses with the right talent across a wide range of industries. With a reputation for professionalism and care, their team of experienced recruiters works closely with both employers and job seekers to ensure the right fit every time.
At the heart of Asset Personnel is Angela Politis, Managing Director and Owner. From the moment you meet Angela, it’s clear that her approach to business is driven by compassion, family, and genuine care for others – values that shine through in everything she does.
So why did Asset Personnel decide to support Lifeline Adelaide? We sat down with Angela to find out the reason behind their support and learn more about Asset Personnel.
Why did you decide to start Asset Personnel?
I decided to start Asset Personnel because I had been in the recruitment industry for over 20 years and was made redundant and was at a crossroad in my life and with great support from family and friends, they encouraged me to start my own recruitment agency. God has gifted me with a great business, beautiful people and my purpose is to be of service to people.
Our motto, ‘when people matter’, really reflects why I began this journey. I wanted to create a company that makes a genuine difference in people’s lives – helping businesses grow with the right people and supporting individuals to find opportunities that have a positive impact in their life.
At the end of the day, Asset Personnel exists because people matter most. Every decision we make comes back to that simple principle.
You’ve been operating now for almost 10 years, can you tell us what you enjoy most about your work?
What I enjoy most about my work is seeing the real impact we make in people’s lives. After almost 30 years in the industry, it’s still incredibly rewarding to watch a candidate land a role that changes their future, or to help a business find that perfect team member who helps them grow.
Because we’re a boutique agency, we get to build genuine, long-term relationships. We know our clients and our candidates personally, and that connection means we’re not just filling jobs – we’re supporting people through some of the most important decisions in their lives.
For me, the best part has always been those moments when you see the relief, excitement, or gratitude on someone’s face. That’s what keeps me passionate about Asset Personnel: knowing that what we do every day really matters.
What do you believe has been the key to your success?
I believe the key to our success has been staying true to who we are – a boutique agency built on genuine relationships, kindness and care. From the beginning, I wanted Asset Personnel to be about people.
Our motto ‘when people matter’ isn’t just a slogan – it’s the foundation of every decision we make. By really listening, taking the time to understand both clients and candidates, and always putting people first, we’ve built trust. That trust has led to long-standing partnerships and referrals that have allowed us to grow.
At the end of the day, success for me is not just about how many roles we fill – it’s about the lives we’ve impacted along the way. I think that commitment to making a difference has been the heart of our journey.
Family was such a strong presence at your gala tables – what role has family and your personal values played in shaping how you run your business?
Family and friends have always been the backbone of my life and my business. Having my family and friends at the gala meant so much to me. In particular, my three children, as a mum, I made the decision to work whilst the kids were babies and juggling motherhood, work and other commitments we all made sacrifices, and it is important to have quality time as a family and be there to support each other through tough times and celebrate success together during the great times. I am grateful for their support, encouragement, and their presence remind me every day why I do what I do.
For me, family isn’t just at home. Over the years, many of our clients have become like family too – we’ve built partnerships that have lasted for over 30 years, built on trust and shared values. And of course, my team at Asset Personnel is very much part of that family as well. They bring so much dedication and heart to what we do, and together we’ve created something really special.
At the end of the day, family – in every sense of the word – has shaped the way I lead and the way Asset Personnel operates. It’s about care, loyalty, respect, and putting people first. That’s why our motto, ‘when people matter’, is at the centre of everything we do.
You’ve had a relationship with Uniting Communities before choosing to support Lifeline Adelaide, can you tell us more about that?
For a little over two years, Asset Personnel has been proudly supporting the Residential Aged Care teams at Uniting Communities, assisting with the placement of clinical staff whenever needed.
Why did you decide to support Lifeline Adelaide?
Many years ago, when I first started out in business, I made a promise to myself that if God placed me in a position to give back, I would. Supporting the community has always been close to my heart, so when I came across the Lifeline Adelaide Gala Ball, I knew immediately it was the right cause for us to stand behind.
Mental health touches so many lives every single day, and I know firsthand just how vital the Lifeline service can be. Someone close to me once reached out to Lifeline, and I saw the difference that one conversation – that one compassionate volunteer on the other end of the phone – made in their life and how it helped them move forward.
To know that our support will help Lifeline Adelaide train more volunteers and continue answering those life-saving calls means everything to us. It’s an honour to play even a small part in helping this essential service continue its work.
How do you hope your involvement with Lifeline Adelaide inspires others – whether they’re business leaders, family members, or people in the wider community – to step forward and support mental health?
We hope that our support will not only contribute to training new volunteers but also shine a light on mental health and the vital services available to those in our community who may be struggling. I want my family, my team, and the employers and job seekers we work with to know that support is always there. You’re never alone, and reaching out for help can make all the difference.
We’re so grateful for the support from Angela and the team at Asset Personnel, and we’re looking forward to building on our partnership and working together in the future.
